Advice for Patients
Health officials have issued urgent guidance to patients following a recent outbreak of meningitis B (MenB) in Kent. The outbreak, centred in the Canterbury area, has led to several confirmed cases .
GPs across the country have been advised to prescribe antibiotics to:
- Anyone who visited Club Chemistry in Canterbury between 5th and 7th March and to University of Kent students if they have been asked to seek preventative treatment. This is so that anyone who has travelled home or away from Ken can easily access this important preventive treatment.
