Staff Training

Portslade Health Centre will be closed for essential staff training on the afternoon of Wednesday 21st November 2018 between 12.30pm and 6.30pm

During this time if you require medical advice, you can go to a local pharmacy for minor ailments or alternatively you can call NHS 111 by dialling 111. This service is free from landlines and most mobiles.

You can also attend Brighton and Hove Station Walk-in Centre in Queen's Road Brighton which is open from 8am to 8pm every day.

If you have a medical emergency such as sudden onset of chest pain please call 999 and ask for an ambulance.

Our dedicated team are here to treat those minor ailments that occur as well as providing specialist management of long-term conditions and clinics covering a wide range of healthcare issues. The technology also means you can now do a lot of things from the comfort of your home such as order a repeat prescription or cancel an appointment.

Patient Online will help you to take greater control of your health and wellbeing by increasing online access to services. It will offer more convenience, choice and control in how you access GP services. You can download leaflets or call into the surgery for more information. You can also download the registration form which must be brought down to the surgery for verification purposes.

GP Earnings

From 31st March 2016 all GP Practices are required to declare the mean earnings (eg average pay) for GP’s working to deliver NHS services to patients at each Practice.


The average pay for GP’s working for 6 months or more in Portslade Health Centre Medical Practice in the last financial year was £51,555.00 before Tax and National Insurance.  


This is for 4 full-time and 6 part-time GP’s
